After working through the winter months applying for grants and raising funds the Friends of Penygraig Park are pleased to announce that it will once again this year be opening the Paddling Pool gates to the community.
On Monday 30th July at 12 Mid-day and for the following 4 weeks the Paddling Pool in Penygraig Park will be open from 12 till 6 every day.
Wendy Allsop the Vice-Chair of the Friends of Penygraig Park has said “it is a hard battle to get funds to re-paint the pool and make it safe for the children but with the help of the local community we have managed it! This year we are hoping to have themed days for the children, so keep an eye on our social media for further details.”
Use of the paddling pool is free of charge and does not have any time constraints on how long you can stay, so families can bring a picnic and enjoy a relaxing day out.
“It’s fantastic to see the local community coming together to open the paddling pool, following the success of the reopening I am proud to be a part of the committee. It’s great to see that one of the volunteers of the Friends of Penygraig Park gained employment with RCT Council after gaining his NPLQ Lifeguarding Qualification. Well Done Friends of Penygraig Park! – Councillor Joshua Davies.
