It has taken a few days to recover, but what a Saturday!
The Tonypandy Christmas event, the Rhondda Christmas market, followed up by the Charity Auction night at the Rhondda Sea Cadets, all took place on Saturday 25th November. The big question is, how many of these events did you go to?
The Tonypandy Christmas event was very well attended as expected, and included lots of stalls from local traders, Santa was in attendance, along with a funfair, face painting, and much more. Santa even turned on the Christmas lights for the town.
Local radio station Rhondda Radio took care of broadcasting, music and announcements too whilst everyone had fun playing in snow globes, meeting Santa, buying sweets and lots of other treats.
Whilst all this was happening in Tonypandy town, just down the road at the Rhondda Sports Centre in Ystrad Rhondda, the Rhondda Christmas Market was taking place.
This too was very well attend, and included some very well known guests including Santa (he had a VERY busy day!) and even the Grinch!
David Healy, of Welsh Hearts, said:

Finally, to finish the day, there was a charity auction with prizes including luxury gift hampers, fab raffle prizes and many other gifts, and all for local charities.
All in all, a fantastic (and rather busy!) day for everyone, but well worth it. Great to see the community coming together in many different ways, and places.
